This blog will be updated every week until May 1st, this will follow the produiction of my final year project at University, in the subject of Games Art.
Welcome back to the blog!! The past few weeks have technically been the Easter Holidays, however I've still been on the work grind trying to get this project done.
Project Overview
As a refresher, I am working on a game-ready environment based on Nacho Yague's concept art from Watch Dogs 2. Last week I updated you guys I had created a texture breakdown for the sofa asset for the scene.
Current Progress
The past few weeks have just been texturing most of the assets and getting them ready for polish as the project is nearing to the end.
Alongside that I started making a decal material to swap in and out of images to use for the planned graffiti on the walls, originally these graffiti decals were on the back wall but it took away to much of the focus.

I also made a material instance from the master material to create a changable material for the posters. I wanted to make these posters based on WWE as the scene is meant to resemble a wrestling area, alongside that I wanted to add some game posters in that help influence my scene.

For the arcade machines I went online and found a sticker company that creates a full sticker set to put on arcade cabinets, so I used one of the sets (obviously to reference in my report) to create one of the arcade machines.

Overall the scene is finally coming together, I'm still messing around with the roughness on the floor and need to rework some of the wall textures.

Whats next?
Next week I aim to have most of this scene done due to the deadline being the 11th now. If I can get the scene done by next week it gives me more time to go back and refine anything else that needs doing. Realistically my scene should be done by now, however the burn out is real.
Catch you all later ;)
Em x
